RADIANCE SCHOOL of BALLET

Snow Queen was a SUCCESS! Bravo dancers on a wonderful show, we are so proud!

Dress Code

As of August 21, 2023

Dress code for all classes include the following items, which may be purchased at our Dance Shoppe at Radiance. All leotards must be one of the approved styles or dancers will be asked to change into the appropriate approved leotard.

Following the dress code allows students to feel dressed appropriately as a ballerina for their class, and eliminates distraction from wearing clothing that is not conducive to dancing or learning. Uniform dress code sets all students on a level playing field and allows for teachers to see how each student is moving. Students should also come to class with their hair in a neat bun. Below is a tutorial for putting hair into a proper ballet bun.

During the colder seasons, our dancers are allowed to wear proper, approved, Ballet warmups. Leg warmers and Ballet sweaters are available for purchase through our Dance Shoppe. We ask that you do not have your student wear puffy jackets or sweatpants to class as this hinders the teachers’ visibility of the students’ body placement, thus not able to properly instruct/correct technique.

Adv. Ballet students may wear under garments as long as they are not visible. NO booty shorts or tank tops!!

Adult Classes do not have to follow the student ballet dress code, however, we do ask that you wear tight fitting athletic clothing, should you choose not to wear leotard, tights and ballet skirt. Please also make sure that your hair is pulled back away from your face. This will allow for optimal participation in the classes.

Tap students may wear athletic shorts over their ballet dress code if they wish. The students' feet should NOT be covered by pants and their hair has to be pulled back in a ponytail or ballet bun.
